In My Own Words

I have a BA degree in Social Work. I am a single mother of two girls. While I was in college I worked as a substitute teacher and as a teacher's assistant in elementary, middle, and high schools. Before my jobs through the school district I was an education major. I was very disapointed in education after working at the schools. I refuse to teach children in such rigid ways. I truely believe we need to conform our curriculum to teach the child not make the child conform to the curriculum. I have done much research on education and learning disibilities. Now days this is far better than learning through the school system and Universities. I am a firm believer in the Davis Program for early child education and all learning disabled children. I have seen this work with my own children.

Parents I'd Like to Meet

I would like to meet parents who are ready for changes in our schools and teachers. I would like to meet people who are interested in alternative education.
