I live in a small community. It has been my experience in this community, that educators consider themselves above the parents and have an ego as large as Texas. There are those who are immature and only became a teacher to gain status and prestige in this community. I have had to risk my own safety by becoming an activist and advocate for parent and student rights in this community. I have endured targeting, harrassment, and bullying by faculty members at various schools within my school district for my outspoken direct stance concerning issues at these schools. As well, those who are close to the faculty members have also targeted me and sought me out at my own workplace. It is scary to think that there are those who have access to my children in these schools and will not check themselves before acting out with bad behavior and malicious intent towards a student's parent.
I have had nothing but problems in this school district and blame the superintendent for his inability to maintain the highest quality of ethical personnel within his schools.
I will keep my stance and stand firmly and accept nothing less than the highest quality of teachers and administrators at my children's schools.
