In My Own Words

I love being a mother. My children and how they are all different gives me a variety of what I need to expect from each one. I am a full time student myself so I am balancing my family, school, and helping the 2 in school with homework. My youngest will start school at 3 years old in December of 2009 because he is trisomy 21 Down syndrome. He is my most challenging one to balance life around but I am use to it now. I no longer can plan a schedule. My days are scheduled that day and still can change because of him. Now.... As far as my pet peeves I do not like racism which I have noticed alot since I have lived in Tennessee. To me we all make the United States what it is. Without us what would it be. I believe we need to prepare our children to have responsibilities for their own actions. Anything else I really cannot think of right now so this is it for now.

Parents I'd Like to Meet

I would love to meet other parents with kids that are special needs in my area. My son that will start school at the end of 2009 has lots of potential to learn but he is severely behind developmentally because of medical issues. Also it would be nice to just know parents that have kids around my age so they have other kids their age to play with outside of school.
