In My Own Words

This is my favorite memory as a parent. My daughter no a 12th grader posted this on her myspace page needless to say it brought tears to my eyes. This is some words of encouragement I gave her in a card. I did not know how much it meant to her until I seen it posted for everyone to view. She posted it along with a picture of her and I. When I look at her I see myself literally. She is my clone. A quote form my mom that I love....... (Sometimes I get caught up in the past when I look at you. You go gurl! Never stop and settle. Smell the roses, go places no one in the family has gone before. Dont just sit around and cheat your self out of a great life. Never forget where you came from and who you belong to. Your a christain mija God has your heart and is waiting for you to make him your everything. That is where your true happiness lies... Just remember that. Dont ever think your not worthy to look up! Jesus made us worthy of it all. luv Mom ). All my children and family are comedians and musically inclined. We know how to laugh cry and empathize with not only our own people but with the community in General. One thing I dilike alot is waisted time. That Curls my hair to a Jerry Curl! hahaha....no but seriously... I just recently completed a couse through the SCC Depatment of Social Services on Domestic Violence and Dependency Court and found that is where I need to set my goal. My Calling in life is to help hurting famlies. Dont get me wrong my family is not by far perfect. But was recently told by a Clinical Theripist that my children are unique. Not the usual children of today. They are not out making trouble or giving me problems. He said,"Wwhen I see your children interact "I see Dorthy and the Lion skipping down the Yellow Brick Road hand in hand..."lol not screaming and yelling at each other. That would be my two teens he is refering to and my younger three are Tinman, Toto and Scarecrow.. He said they are a breath of fresh air. You did a great job with them. I could only hope to raise my son half as well...

Parents I'd Like to Meet

Anyone interested in advancing thier children into a better life. We need to be sure it is not our dreams we are trying to live through them. We need to make way for them to accomplish their own dreams. Oh and parents who belive that we as adults are the ones who put bad attitude into our children . We put everything negative into them. We need to stand up and take accountability for our actions. We need to find ways to become positive before it is too late. We model behavior by our actions not by our words. Granted there are a few chldren who are easily tainted by peer pressure. I say If we can get like minded as the leader of the rebelios nation. We can keep our children out of harms way... But using a positive parenting remedy. What would you like for the Public to say about your child? So bottom line I would like to meet Parents who care enough to give their very best...That is themselves and their time..
