In My Own Words

I have 2 wonderful kids, one in middle school & one in elementary school. They are both sweet, funny and very capable students who have different abilities & interests. We've tried charter, magnet, and private school alternatives since our kids have been in school here in Raleigh, NC. I'm often frustrated by Wake County and an educational philosophy that focuses on busing kids from one location to another, rather than spending that time/money/effort on actually educating each student based on that particular student's needs. I see providing a solid, challenging education as an extraordinarily important aspect of raising a child.
