In My Own Words

I am a substitute teacher on my way to becoming a full time teacher in early 2010. I have three kids ages 6, 9, and 12. They all go to the same school in Hialeah.(for safety reasons I will not name the school). I substitute for the Miami Dade school District, I participate in my kids school activities as best I could. One thing I enjoy about being a teacher is that my kids and I have the same schedule, I don't worry about after school costs or summer day camp fees. When they're off, I'm off, when they're in school so am I. My kids don't go to school in the city we live in because I wanted them to go to an organized school instead of the schools in our neighborhood that houses children from the Projects who give teachers a hard time, not wanting to learn, disrupting other students who want to learn, I just felt it was my job to make sure that my kids went to a school that would give them a better chance at learning.

Parents I'd Like to Meet

I am basically interested in meeting other parents who believe in the same things I do as a parent. Someone who I can learn from and also learn from me.
