In My Own Words

I am a mother of two wonderful children. We have been through some very trying times so my children are a little more emotional then most. When my kids smile, have fun or say they learned something new or made a new friend it makes me happy. I try to raise the kids to use thier words, and minds and not thier hands. My highlight of the day is family time. No phone calls right after school if it can be helped thats homework time. No tv or phone at dinner thats family time and We generally do tv time for a half hour a night together. Sometimes its games too. Weekends are the best times because we are all together. In general while my kids grow I love it when they percieve things out of innocent eyes. They just see things differently. They even say things out of innocene that can get you laughing. What I do not like is when I encounter people belittle others because of differences. There's a reason everyone has differences, they should be respected. My family has endured far too much do to this type of thing. But I see things like a mother kissing her child dropping her child off to school. She tells her child God bless you baby and walk with God in your heart and have love for fellow man. I love you, I will be here when you get out. That is a role model parent. ( No it wasn't me but she did make me think and since then I have adopted the same.)
