I am very blessed to be a stay at home parent. I have always believed that if I became a wife and a mother, I would want to make my family a priority in my life. Having the ability to be here for my child when she's off school, sick, and present for school functions is very important to me. I may not have a lot of money to buy everything I want all of the time, but our needs as a family are met. Growing up, I did not have the luxury of having a full time parent. I grew up missing my mom and dad. Both of my parents had to work. I felt as if I never had enough time with them. Then their was the divorce and all that comes with that. Because of my lonely childhood, I have always felt the desire to have a family of my own.
I believe in family meals, giving thanks, and family first. I also believe in differentiation in school classrooms. I expect the teachers to meet the needs and challenges of all of the children in their learning environment.
I am a wife, a mother, room mom, our housekeeper, gardener, Mrs. Fix it...you name it, I do it. A typical mother.
Parents I'd Like to Meet
I would love to meet parents who love their children and value their families. I would love to meet parents that are involved in school functions, who feel sad (as I do) when the school year starts and are excited when summer vacation begins. I would love to meet parents who are advocates for their child the entire year through. I would love to meet parents of gifted children. I would love to meet stay at home moms that can relate to my everyday challenges.
