In My Own Words

I am an educator from both venues, with seventeen years teaching experience at the Community college and K-12 levels. My experience at the Community College level is in computers, MicroSoft applications, humanities and Windows 95,98 and NT; my public school teaching has been focused on special education in the areas of learning disabilities, emotional behaviors and the autiusm spectrum. What hepls me get through my hectic day is planning what most important and checking off each completed task. What was and is my favorite parenting memories are teach by doing the task with my child (ren) and explaining each step as I go. Additionally, spending quality time with my children. This strategy has worked in my special education classroom. I would have lunch with my students, most times in my home room. This was our bonding time where we would discuss things of interest to them. My pet peeves are lacking the necessary tools and materials for my students. why? This impedes their learning. Today I have begun my writing career by publishing numerous articles and books. My educational book is in progress, with the thesis beign submitted to a special education organization for publication.
