My pet peeve turned into a project.................
I run my own travel company and decided to go into communities and assist wherever I can. I chose schools due to my close experience with a few teachers who use their own money to purchase needed equipment and supplies for the classroom.
While I think it is commendable, it is also a very expensive commitment. I saw the need and I am trying to make a difference. There is no commitment on your part. You can decide to see what we do or not. This is my 'baby project' which I intend to grow and nourish to maturity. In other words………until all teachers who need funds for their projects are fulfilled.
This is what gets me excited. A true way to give back and help in all communities.
Parents I'd Like to Meet
I am interested in meeting teachers who have been using their own money to purchase supplies for their classroom. It’s as simple as 1,2,3.
1. I would like teachers to contact me and let me know what they need in their classrooms. Whether equipment, supplies, educational class outings etc. Any enriching experiences they want to continue or implement
2. Once their needs have been identified, the Department head or Principal will check to see if these requests meet with the school’s criteria
3. We will organize a raffle or auction, using vacation getaways to bring in needed funds. Therefore alleviating the burden off teachers and their personal spending.
