In My Own Words

I am involved at my daughters' schools, in a supportive manner. I volunteer in both schools' libraries. I help the teachers with tasks that support, such as copying. I enjoy supporting the "Powerful Writers" program. In the elementary school, I set up the Yahoo Group email list and created the school WIKI site. I am currently the elementary school PTSA VP, but focus my time on activities that help raise the educational bar at school and provide a means of support for the parents. Being involved at the middle school level is a new learning experience for me. I am still learning how to be supportive in the middle school environment.
