In My Own Words

Hi there, My name is Sophie and I am moving to Bradenton Fla. soon.We presently live in Mass. but need a warmer climate for my little girl. She has a very rare and incurable bone disease called Multiple Hereditary Exostoses, MHE, and suffers pain all winter. NOT missing school is VERY important to her.Has anyone heard of MHE? Only one child in every 50,000 has it... I also have a son who will be entered in Manitee Tech to finish his Carpentry Trade. He is 16 years old.He LOVES all kinds of sports and participates in many during the school year. Football is his favorite... I am a mom of 3 and my oldest(Jeff) has already finished college and holds 2 BA's One in Math and one in the Computer field. He landed a great job in Boston here and is getting Married in Oct.08 He was diagnosed as a genius @ age 8 with a I Q of 144..Where he gets it I DON'T KNOW...LOL Must be his moms' side LOL..Just kidding. I am a special needs teacher and love my job... ;-D I have been forced to Substitute because of my little girls illness worsening over the past two years...She has missed a lot of school but still gets her work done and passed with 5 A's and 2 B's...She is the apple of my eye and a TRUE gift... We are looking to the future in Fla. We have already been down there a couple of weeks ago. We haven't settled on any particular home there as of yet. I enjoy jewelry making, gardening reading, cruising, socializing but dislike gossiping, I also LOVE dancing, music and I LOVE animals, especially my husky...She's THE BEST animal I have ever had.
