In My Own Words

I am a single Mom of one daughter, who just turned five. I am involved at her school, which is a private, independent school in Topeka, Kansas. As long as I can afford to keep her at TCS, I will. I have seen first hand the many opportunities that students have been given, thanks to their education, and I don't want her to be an exclusion to these things. My daughter is a constant light in my life, whether it be a night when she's singing one of her many made-up songs, or when she's reminding me of the "rules".

Parents I'd Like to Meet

I would love to meet other parents who have a child(ren) like mine, who won't eat anything (it seems anyways). I am always looking for advice on how to get her to try new foods. And very unusual, veggies and fruit are not the problem, it's dairy and meat. I'm also interested in meeting parents of daughters that also see how the behavior of girls seems to be getting nasty at a younger age. My daughter has a girl in her PreK class that she constantly battles with over material goods. HOLY COW!!!
