Parents I'd Like to Meet

My main focus at this time is helping my son. He has Epilepsy: Complex Partial Seizures. This type of seizure is not visual - so people have a hard time comprehending and can be very bias and uncaring. He is experiencing difficulties focusing (AD) and his meds cause some impulsivity (HD). Prior to his diagnosis 3 years ago ~ A student, confident and no behaviorial concerns. Stanford Testing he was 2-3 grades ahead. Now...A/B student working hard to achieve, behaviorial concerns and self-esteem is not as great as it use to be. He is on a 504 that we had to fight the school to get and now we are working towards an IEP. We need to find him an effective Public School or Private School that can assist him going into Middle School. Unfortunately, we can not relocate out of state -must reside in GA. If anyone has any information regarding Epilepsy, schools or suggestions - they are welcome. Thank you in advance.
