In My Own Words

Let's see, some of my favorite parenting memories are too many to count. I love being a mom and can't imagine how much different my life would be if I didn't have my daughter. I can honestly say I'm a better person with her in my life. My favorite parenting moments are when my daughter, who is 9 years old, and I have in depth conversations. For example, she has a challenge with becoming overly frustrated so we talked about it and the insight this girl has is awesome. I love taking tv shows or situations in life to discuss with her about his God would want us to act. Pet peeves are lack of focus, which my daughter definately has and inconsisten parenting, which I am guilty of.... A big challenge we have with our daughter is staying on task when it comes to homework or the dread task of cleaning her room... :) I get excited about being at home with my family, helping my daughter with her homework, watching her grow, change and mature. A typical day in my life is getting up at 5:30am to work at home until 3pm, then M-W, I'm off to my internship as an MFT. That is my true destiny. I try to spend quality time with my child and not sweat the house is not perfectly neat syndrome. If I had to choose a summary of who I am it would go like this: I am passionate about helping others empower themselves to grow and live life to the fullest. I am a borderline type A personality, however God has been working on me ( a long time... hehehe) to work past that. I use both sides of my brain so sometimes i get overloaded with thoughts.... I love humor, laughing is such good medicine and taking ourselves too seriously is not healthy.

Parents I'd Like to Meet

I would love to meet with other parents who balance work and home. I would also like to speak with those who homeschool their children and how all that works. I would like to meet others who have children or a child around the same age as my duaghter to have play dates and create friendships.
