In My Own Words

I'm remarried, work full-time, and have two children: a 17 year-old daughter in private school, and an 11 year-old son in public school. My son was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome just before he started Kindergarten, and has had an IEP since that time. He's been in a social skills group for the past year, and I'm so proud of him for his accomplishments: making eye contact, starting and maintaining a conversation with others and making a few friends. My daughter is a neurotypical teenager and doing very well in school.

Parents I'd Like to Meet

I'm interested in meeting other parents who in a similar situation as mine. How do you handle sibling arguments, especially when your kids are so far apart in age? I'm an "only," so it's a constant struggle for me to figure out the best way to handle this.
