In My Own Words

My name is LaShawndra Vernon, and I am fortunate enough to be the mother of two outstanding children. I was introduced to GreatSchools by a dear friend, and ever since I have been involved. I work long hours, and raise my children as a single parent. I have little time to devote to my children's school, because I am the sole provider as well as the primary nurturing support of the house. Using the internet to connect with the schools in Milwaukee is a valuable tool. It is the way we locate much of our information in this busy society.
