I tend to look at things from a reality check standpoint. There is always a reason for everything said or done. I strive to look at both sides and then choose the side. Sometimes I stand with my kids on an issue and sometimes they find me in their corner telling them what they don't want to hear. I won't ever automatically choose my child's side. I've seen first hand the results of that -- children who think they can walk on water and not drown (I know -- graphic, but you get the idea). I've worked with kids of all ages for 15 years, 10 of them in a classroom as a teacher. I've taught Kinder, 3rd & 5th grades and mentored MS & HS students. I'm a wife and mother of 2 (13 and 4).
Parents I'd Like to Meet
I'd like to meet parents who are willing to hear what they maybe don't want to hear -- I'm a tell it like it is kind of person. I'd like to meet people who can give me great ideas and also be honest with me when I need help with a given problem. I'd love to know how all you working mom's have time to eat, sleep, go to the gym, cook, clean & fulfill work obligations in a day -- I struggle with it so much HELP!!
