In My Own Words

Occupation: Social Worker for past eleven years, currently with Impact Plus Pet Peeve: When people make remarks that children from single parent homes are not as successful in school as those from homes with two parents. Children who live with both parents often have severe behavioral or educational problems so I think it depends on each child's specific situations whether or not they are successful in school. If you have not guessed by now, yes, I am a single parent. My child is a straight A student and has been in the Gifted & Talented program for several years.
