We spend a lot of time talking about our trials and tribulations as parents - so I want to try something a little different today - let's declare this Fun Friday as "I am a Successful Parent Day" and take the time to tell about something wonderful that has happened in our week!

Re: celebrate
What a great topic! I am counting my blessings. My children are home until 08/18/09.

We had a dinner in a friend's house and my nine years old instructed her younger brother to put the napkin on his lap. I did not say anything, but looked at my daughter with a smile.

Thanks again for sharing!

hockeymom,
At first I thought BAKUGAN was some sort of a swear word! LOL Little did I know that the tiny creatures open up on thier "special" card and carry points!! My son has 30 BAKUGANS and somehow there is always some type of it missing! Hummm :) Cheers

Thanks guys. And great stories everyone.
Eccentric - I heard about this bakugan. That it is the new "it" game for boys. They had an article in the paper about how its the game of the year.

Re: celebrate
Congrats to all - eccentric - I am close to your joy on that one - my 14 year-old daughter was a nail biter and we could get her to quit for a while here and there, but didn't get the habit kicked until she got braces. I think they'll be in place long enough that a relapse is unlikely!
