Luckily, my kids prefer an indoor sport, so we're sweltering going to the last week of leagues, but they're enjoying a nice comfortable 70s while they bowl as opposed to a 100+ reading outside in the parking lot.  Blech!   And last Monday, it was drizzling.  Go figure.

We haven't had to turn on the air conditioning yet, since we're just hiding out in a few rooms downstairs during the day and in the evenings it does cool off--a little.  Seems like this might be the year we invest in a whole house fan.

How's everyone else's weekend?

Re: HOT! HOT! HOT!
Yes, 75 sounds about right. Growing up in Wyoming I never learned to deal with the heat. If it got up to 80 everyone complained. Fortunately temperatures here in the bay area don't get as high as other parts of CA, but we had a couple days last week that got pretty hot. I had just returned from visiting Mom in WY where we had one sunny day, it snowed twice and snained once (that's something between snow and rain). Between all the flying and the temperature change my poor body was very confused...

One tip for hot weather. Try putting lotion in the freezer for a while. Then it will be nice and cool when you put it on. Just don't eat it by accident ;)

MagnetMom, :)
Michiganders are picky...can you make it 15 deg?? You see 85 is too hot and 60 is cold, so 75 is perfect for us and our plants!! LOL I promise to FEDEX is back to you when needed! :)

Re: HOT! HOT! HOT!
OK, ok....I'll personally box up 20 degrees and send them Michigan way so that the kids can outdoor swim and gardens can be planted.
The only thing I'll require is that if it's too hot in Detroit around 4th of July you pack it up and send it back. If it's 110 in LA that week, it's ok. I'll have a dozen kids in Michigan for the Junior Gold Championships and they always seem to send us to the hottest, most humid places in the world!

Re: HOT! HOT! HOT!
I bought my annuals three weeks ago but it has been so cold that I was adviced not to plant just yet! Here in Michigan, so far it's been cold, cold, cold!! :) My boys are still going indoor swimming and my plants waiting to be planted!

Re: HOT! HOT! HOT!
It hasn't been to hot here in Michigan. We've been in the 60's and rainy mostly. Haven't done too much this weekend and not even sure what we are dong after church today LOL. Weekends usually (not always) aren't really planned.
