I actually forgot that it was this Sunday!  Last year was my first and I remember thinking, "Wow.  Mother's Day.  This is amazing."

It was pretty mellow, slept in, had breakfast made by husband who never cooks (it was surprisingly good), had a picnic in the park later that day.  It was exactly what I wanted: a mellow and relaxing day with my family.  I think this year I'm going to go for the same.

What are your plans?

MSMomm, when the line is that long, it becomes like a party anyway. Everyone's there for the same reason, and everyone expects it to be long. You'll have your family around you, so it'll be fun. Enjoy those biscuits and pie. I'm envious!

Regarding Mother's Day, I just had mine. On Mother's Day proper we celebrate the grandmas so I'm put to work putting the whole thing together. Tonight, we headed out to Panera for dinner, did a bit of shopping with a giftcard we hadn't used from Christmas, and then hit Red Mango (frozen yogurt place sort of like Pinkberry). For any moms in the range of a Red Mango, they're giving it away free to moms on Sunday from 3-5. Yum. To see if one is remotely near you, visit www.redmangousa.com/

I haven't been there in years, and it's time. If I wait 'til my birthday, it'll be too hot. I love the buttermilk biscuits and yes, the boysenberry pie.

Happy Mother's Day Everyone!!!

There isn't a thing corny with that restaurant. We'll go to Disneyland and then *drive* over to Knott's just to eat. For me it's the boysenberry everything, but for my son it's the rhubarb. Yum!

I don't envy you with the line though. I've heard it can reach 3 hours on Mother's day.

We're going to Knott's Berry Farm, because I love the chicken dinner restaurant. Yes, it's corny, but GOOD!
