LAUSD Building Program Builds on to Empty Seats

LAUSD's much lauded building program beats on, despite a continued shrinking enrollment. Read the pros and cons of the program by visiting the LA Times news article here:

My question is what will happen to all the older schools as the new schools become populated with kids. Can they sell them off to charters or privates?
