Re: Jet's Ryan Rex discusses his battle to overcome dyslexia and ADHD
Love this article and I just e-mailed it to DH. This article stands out for a number of reasons:
1. The definition of dyslexia is clear, concise and ACCURATE! (no seeing backwards stuff).
2. It's inspirational - we see that dyslexia played a part in Ryan's success.
3. Ryan demonstrates great self advocacy - the color coded system and pre-reading of scripts to help get him trough. AND his willingness to openly tell future employers about his dyslexia.

Yes - these articles provide a boat-load of encouragement. Even to a die-hard New England Patriot fan that doesn't like the Jets very much. (had to get that in)

These type of articles are excellent for kids to read or for parents to read to them. I have always tried to encourage my son regarding his Dyslexia/Dysgraphia by letting him know of all the people who struggle with the same disability and who have made a career and a great life for themselves. I tell him that it's just a bump in the road, and that it will help shape how he lives his life and we can work with it together.
Great article!!
