Great School's is made up of some pretty remarkable people.   Especially, the Great School's staff.  This is the thread where we can share our gratitude for those wonderful Great Schools staffers and members whose work really made a difference.     Perhaps it was a particular expert article that helped prevent your child from being retained, the diligence of a moderator, a site modification that made the site more user friendly,, or perhaps it was the timely experiences of a fellow community member.  Here's our chance to say thank you.

Re: OS - Gratitude Thread
These two articles were pivotal in my LD jourey towards the acquisition of credible information:

www.greatschools.net/cgi-bin/showarticle/2709

and

www.greatschools.net/cgi-bin/showarticle/2349

The first article helped me to learn to speak the right language -- to which the idioms "when in Rome, do as the Romans do" could apply. It helps to be able to speak the right language so all can be on the same page. (So thanks Kristin Stanberry for writing such an excellent article.)

The second article helped me to validate that my concerns for my child were founded and moved us, as a family, to take action and meet our daughters at her need -- even if it had to be privately funded outside of the public school system. (Thanks Dr. Hall for making a true difference for at least one child.)

Thanks to Bill Jackson for understanding the importance of keeping the SchwabLearning expert articles and for doing one better by keeping the SchwabLearning message board archives.

Thanks to "Kkornas" for working so hard to keep the forum "bug" free and thanks to "tjlove" for helping us to create and maintain productive conversations for the interchange of information.

Now it's your turn... :)
