What medical tests/innoculations does your student require for college?

I'm curious if the required medical tests/innoculations that are required by colleges vary from state to state, university to university, or ?

My son's school has asked for proof of a negative TB test that's been done within the past year, and proof his MMR is up-to-date. I've heard others say their schools want incoming freshmen to get meningitis and hepatitis vaccines....

My son got a bunch because he's living on campus. They threaten the kids with removal from school if they don't have the "optional" ones and an outbreak occurs, so he played human pin cushion.

Meningitis was optional. He got it. I had to read a form and he either got the vaccine or I had to sign that I read the form and he didn't want it.

He got the TB test as part of planning to play sports and being in the dorms. The perk was that when he had a few days off he was then eligible to help in his sister's classroom.

He had to have proof his MMR and tetanus was up to date. I knew his tetanus booster was in 2004 when he split his head open, but I apparently didn't have the form with me and forgot to go back with his vaccine card. Since we had these vaccines all given at a local school clinic, the nurse practitioner suggested just giving him the booster again, since it's likely the last time *I'd* be able to make him have a tetanus booster.

Our school district mandated one of the Heps by Jr high, and then this college recommended the another set of hep.

I tried like crazy to find it on the school website, and I'm not having any luck. I'll check with my son and if he remembers any more, then I'll mention those too.

My son needss Tetanus/Diphteria , Meningitis, MMR, Hepatitis.

Varicella, polio, are recommended.

For TB,they only ask the vaccination if you are at risk (being close to somebody with TB, being in an infected country, or having had a positive TB test).
