Re: Getting Homework Help Online
Since most kids are now spending more time on the computer than watching TV, On-line tutoring sites might be a good way to get them to stay on track while doing something they enjoy. www.jupiter2xlearning.com has a program that offers one to one tutoring as well as on demand homework assistance for reasonable prices. There are a number of other similiar sites like tutor.com and tutorvista.com but we liked Jupiter because they created a plan with my son and would check in with him via text chat in between his weekly sessions.

Re: Getting Homework Help Online
As a parent, educator, and Educational Technologist, I am aware of the many resources there are on the Internet for students in any subject. I especially enjoy working with my students and son on www.cosmeo.com, www.unitedstreaming.com, and www.pppst.com. You will really love the latter one. A majority of the content is not interactive because the site is made mostly of PowerPoints. It is completely free, full of resources for every subject imaginable, and there are links to educational games. A teacher's (and parent's) dream!!!! I hope this helps.

If your child has homework in science or related to science fair, the Discover channel's education website has tons of excellent resources to help your child succeed. I used it all the time with my students when I taught 5th grade science.
