Summer boredom without $$$$$
As a substitute teacher, I don't work or get paid during the summer so I have to rely on unemployment.
Since I don't have the money to put my kids in a summer program/camp I've set a schedule where every morning after breadfast, each of the kids do 1-2 hours of school work, after that they each get time on the home computers where they do whatever they want.
After we leave the library, we grab lunch then we either decide to go back home or go to the public pool and swim for about one hour, then get back home by 5pm.
This activity keeps everyone busy all day so no one complains of being bored.
