What to do with a  6 yr old if summer school is not available at her school.  Looking for a place where she can continue education during the summer and have fun activities. Need some suggestions.

Re: First/Second grader summer break
Fountain Hills has a beautiful lake and the largest fountain in the U.S., china copied and I believe its taller. They have a park near it , and it has sprinklers, on during the day and you can feed the ducks and see the fountain, that shoots up on the hour. It is free and a little bit cooler than the valley.

Be sure to check your local library. They usually have some kind of reading program.

See your local zoo or museum for more choices. Park and recs often have classes--some as simple as soccer or t-ball, but also have cooking, and other activities as well.

You may also want to check your local "Y" for their summer programs.

Good luck! And let us know what you find.
