Imagine Chater Schools

My daughter will be starting kindergarten in the fall. I am in the current process of trying to decide which school she will attend. The default school leaves a lot to be desired as does the school district as a whole. I can not afford to send her to a public school out of our district or to a private school.

Today I recieved a post card in the mail about Imagine Charter schools. I located the website and read up on these schools. So far this sounds like a school that would be perfect for my daughter. My question is has in one in the Fort Wayne, IN area had any experience with the two Imagine Schools located here? What do you think of these two schools? Any information would be greatly appricated.

I'd also be interested in anyone with experience with Imagine, as they are proposing opening a school in the South Fulton area of the city and they have five schools in the Atlanta area.

I do like the fact that they require parental involvement by volunteering, however, I do hope that they are flixible in their requirements, as many parents cannot phycially attend the school, especially during traditional work hours, but may be able to contribute virtually or by doing tasks at home.

We visited Imagine Chater Schools on Tuesday and have decided that this is where our daughter will attend. They do have a school uniform that the kids must wear which I think will be a plus. They do require the parents to volunteer 20 hours per year doing something at or for the school. I am actually looking forward to this aspect. I think it's good to get parents involved with the school as well as their child's education. I truely believe that we have made the best possible choice for our daughter with the options that we have.
