hi!
First off, I don't have any professional opinions as to whether or not my Kindergartener is gifted and talented. If nothing else, i'd say she's precocious and has above average intelectual curiosity. She's been reading for about a year and half. Her K teacher thinks she's probably reading at a 4th-grade-level. She's really interested in science and nature and loves to read about those things. I don't really think the teacher is attempting to challenge her in any of the areas that she is strong in. The attitude seems to be:
I'm just interested to know if anyone has any thoughts on the above. Should I press her teacher to challenge my daughter more directly?
thanks in advance!
scott.
