Just wondering about Greatschools new home screen that talks about Twitter, etc.

When I sign in to Greatschools, I see a new screen that talks about how you can keep following Greatschools on social networking sites like My Space, Facebook, and Twitter.

I don't want to sign up, but I'm curious how the Twitter link would work, if you're only limited to short 140 character messages? Many replies to discussions are longer than that......Do you just get a tweet, telling you that there's a "new comment" to a thread you've been watching, and hope you can go to your email to read the rest?

This is neat. I may use something like this for my e-CHALLENGER site with bells and whistles that go off when they score a reward.

I am a member of Facebook and Twitter. Although, I requested Twitter to connect to Facebook. It is my understanding that I can follow Tweets on Facebook now. Am I understanding this correctly?
