Bugs, bugs, bugs!

Launching a brand-new online community is never without its bumps. If you run into any hiccups or bugs along the way, record them here! That way, we can keep track of what you're seeing and fix it right away.

You're among the first folks participating on the GreatSchools Parent Community, and we appreciate your feedback on our site. We read it all, good or bad, nice or mean. We depend on you to help make the site the best place for parents to meet each other and share stories online.

But back to the bugs -- if you come across a page that doesn't look right (maybe it's missing images, or showing up empty), or you get an error message while you're posting or responding, let us know here!

Yep, we're looking into this and should have a fix up next week, after testing it. As of right now, it doesn't look like we'll be able to backtrack (so, once the fix goes up, it won't change the views/answers count for anything that's already been posted), but it should help things moving forward.

I'll keep everyone posted when the next round of changes are live.

I just got back from looking at some Q&A postings, and, for example, there's one Q about choosing Catholic vs. public school. It has 3 separate replies, NOT all from the same person, and yet it shows only 1 view.

I think I may have figured it out. I think that while the sofware counts every post, no matter how many times a user visits a post they are only counted as a view one time per person. So if I post on a particular thread more than once. It may have more comments that views.

Could that be it?
