Do you find you're having issues with your Black students in predominantly white schools?  Do you feel as though there are issues with your Black child in predominantly Black schools?!  Do you feel as though predominantly Black schoolsl are performing as well as predominantly white schools?! My daughter is in her second year at a predominantly white high school--86% white, 4% black and 6% hispanic, I believe. The school district numbers are about the same. She has had no problems that I know of because of this. She is very happy there and has made many friends of all races, active in sports, and has made excellent grades as well.

I can't say for sure that black schools underperform white schools, but I know that from my stepson's (Chicago south suburban public school--95% black) and cousin's (Chicago Public School-2 whites) reactions when they saw her school and others here, and they saw the course and activities offerings, they were envious and wanted to move here with us in Florida.

I think to make a fair comparison, you have to compare similar schools. Inner City schools--white vs black vs. hispanic. Suburban schools--compare groups. And so forth.
