Need Help finding a good HS in N. Virginia

Please help. We will be moving cross-country from NM to the DC area in Mid-October. We are a military family, and my husband got a job at the Pentagon. We would like to live in Virginia. I need help finding a good HS for both of my girls to go to. The problem is my husband does not want to commute a long distance from home to work. An hour one way at the most. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any advice given will be greatly appreciated.

i wouldn't go just by the web site when looking for new school, they all seem to be way off in their true descriptions. I suggest checking with newspapers, and locals of an area before choosing...

Great to see you exploring. We came back to VA about three years ago.
We are located in Ashburn, VA. Our school district is Loudoun Count. Years ago we lived in Reston and its Fairfax County.
As for supporting hubby with travel to work...good luck, lots of traffic, but my hubby goes to DC via metro.

I'm not from the VA area, but have you tried using the "Research and Compare" feature on the green menu bar near the top of this page, where you can enter a location and grade level, and see what schools are in the area? Obviously, the cost of housing will also affect where you move, so have you contacted any local real estate agents?
