I was on the schwablearning parent to parent before as pianoman. Some on here already know the problems I was having with the district not following my sons present IEP and the gen ed teacher refusing to follow or do any of the accommadations in our last IEP meeting. My son was just recently tested for his 3 year re-eval and I have the results. I am going to post the results from my sons first eval 3 years ago and the present scores and see if anyone here can help me interpret them. I have a feeling they are going to try to say my son does not need an IEP anymore but I think the test show differently. Any help or feedback would be very very very helpful.

Any help in comparison, or even to know what I am looking at would help.  My son's diagnosis from the Neuro dr is ADD- inattentive, OCD, Encephalopathy, Desomnia.

Print this out and you will see some answers. Its gives levels such as above average, below average and all scores you will need when it comes to tests

pianoman:

The test scores are a bit hard to follow as posted, but from what I can see, you son still qualifies, especially in the area of math. He is still having difficulty in math calculation and math fluency. My guess is his strong intellectual ability is helping him in math reasoning. I do hope this young man is being given a calculator in his math class, for day to day lessons and exams. In additioin, your is still showing a weakness in written language, which is such a big part of high school curriculum. Finally, does your son have difficulty with slow processing speed? I noticed that his reading fluency is also low.

Re: Test scores and what do they mean. Can someone help me understand them.
Has Asperger's been ruled out as part of your son's diagnosis? If they tell you your son is not eligilbe for services through an IEP, ask about a 504 plan. Schools have very strict guidelines for servicing students. Some teachers will be better than others, too. Can you hire a tutor to help at home or have him go to Sylvan Learning Center? Good Luck, Debilou
