Hi!! My family is new to the area and I am trying to decide which school to send by 6th and 8th grade girls to. I have read a lot about East and West Muskingum being excellent schools but then the more I search the more the school ratings, etc go back and forth!!
I would like to send them to an academically challenging school as well as one where the people are nice and helpful.
Any advice? Thanks in advance!!

1. Do you value ongoing communication with the school (principal, counselors and teachers)?
2. What are you girls' extracurricular interests?
3. When you said, "academically challenging" were you referring to a school that offers GATE level courses or a school that typically scores high on the standardized test?
4. Have you called any of the schools to schedule a tour?
5. Will your girls make the final decision about which school they would like to attend or is this a decision you will make?
6. Do any of the middle schools in the area have web sites and if so, how many were updated in the past 2 months?
7. While visiting the schools' web sites did you find a page for the PTA/PTO/Parent Association?
Would love to be of assistance in narrowing the field. Here's an article and video that may help as well. bit.ly/b2DiO bit.ly/2ysROn
