Meet and Greet for students?

My children and I just relocated to this area. My daughter will be attending Seven Mile for first grade and my son will attend Bloomfield for Pre-K. I would love to know if the school district or individual schools will hold a student function prior to the start of the school year for students to make friends. Is anyone aware of any such activities for my children and I to attend?

You might not realize you've posted your question on a nationwide community message board. It appears you've moved to the Detroit area.
