We know that many of you have questions about a particular school, neighborhood, district or city. Were excited to announce a new tool on our community that will help you find answers to your local questions: Local Q&A.

Here are the three easy steps for posting a local question:

Step 1: Go to our Q&A Forum and enter your question in the Ask a Question box.

Step 2: Once youve entered your question and clicked Ask, a pop-up menu will appear. At the top, youll see the options to categorize your question by city and state.

Step 3: Check the Local box in the pop-up menu, and then select the state and city your question is about. Submit your question, and youre done!

For example, if you have a question about the best public schools in Tucson, AZ, use our Q&A Forum to publish your question and make sure to categorize it as Tuscon, AZ. Your question will then be visible to parents who live in the Tuscon area and who can provide knowledgeable answers.

By the way, you can also browse local questions to see what other parents are saying about schools in your city.

Happy Posting!

I'm really affraid for our home school Hamilton. Could anyone advise what I could do to possibly have her attend a better school. My child has good grades and has no problems is a great student. Frisco has some good schools. I used to work for the McKinney district next to Frisco. The school is based on your residence. If a school gets too small for the population, they usually set up portables as extra classrooms. Frisco rose in population quite a lot in a very small time frame so they've building new schools one or two a year on average.
I hope you enjoy Texas and Frisco.

Hi Orchard, you can use GreatSchools to look up schools in your new area. Click on the "Research and Compare" button in the green toolbar above and enter your city/state info in the appropriate fields. A list of all schools in that area will show up. You can refine your search by elementary, middle or high school. Good luck in your search and your move!
