If parents have had lunch at the Hardin Elementary School on a very rainy day you know that the kids and teachers get soaked. I have briefly researched and found that the main building(where the office is located) has been there since schools were still segregated. I have also learned that the gym at the Elementary School is the only one without airconditioning. I am interested in hearing other parents and teachers thoughts on what can be done about this.

Re: PETITION? Are any parents interested in signing?
What state are you in? sounds as if your school is in need of major renovation/replacement dollars. With state and county budgets feeling the pinch across the board and less Federal dollars to work with, your county may have to come up with a bond referendum to pay for the needed construction. Are the residents willing to pay and additional sales tax or make ay other concessions to do so, because that's what it might take to accomplish.

Also, check with your school board, you may have to actually collect live signatures, as most places do not accpet internet petitions.
