Help!-this is our first experience with the school

Definitely have your child choose a subject that is of interest. If he or she is going to spend months on it, it has to be part of them.
The project is usually due months from when it's assigned and the biggest suggestion of all is to work with it every night. It's really tempting to put it off, but it sneaks up on you. Definitely have a check off list and print out a calendar and go over everything each week or so.

Stick to what your child enjoys. There are a ton of resources online to help you out, just google "school science fair projects". Good luck!
