Thank you

I just want to thank the educators and administrators of Maryland City Elementary. I moved from Toronto after the death of my father, and found a level of compassion and understanding that was remarkable. As a third grader who spoke with a funny accent and lived a life of sadness, I was almost instantly welcomed and encouraged.

And 15 years later, when I learned that a neighbor child was enduring a painful family situation, I contacted the school counselors. I have so much respect for the manner in which they supported her. Fully supported her.

I wish that the school system did not have to intervene, but am so in awe of the commitment shown by every member of the staff.
