Here's a topic very common to parents of gifted children. It also relates to a frequent reason GT parents are homeschooling.

For those interested:

SENG (Social and Emotional Needs of the Gifted) is having a conference in Florida. The flyer begins with:
"Does anyone really know what youre going
through as the parent of a gifted child?
Concerns about depression, anxiety and underachievement
the passion to be an advocatenavigating school bureaucracies
the need for information
A desire to connect and share with others facing the same frustrations
One annual event combines the people and ideas youre seeking to
improve your gifted childs chances of success, happiness and well-being."

Here's the parents' flyer for all those interested.

Please pass it along. If we can't go, just knowing we're not alone helps tremendously. Share this with others. We need to unite as parents of gifted children.
