My daughter has adhd and is ld and doesn't qualify to be in special education.  Currently she goes to an alternative school but she will be going to high school next year and she will need extra help in all of her subjects.  So I am wondering where can I go to get the extra help she will need?

Why does she not quilify? My experience with the public school is that you really have to push. If it has been a while since she has been tested, demand that she be tested again. Write down anything and everthing that you see happening with her. Do not give up. My youngest has ADHD and a reading disability. I fought and fought for over 4 years to get my child the help he needed and I still fight everyday for him to have the services that he deserves. If you know your child has difficulties do whatever you need to to get the services. It is her right to get the best possible education that she can get. Don't let schools bully you, you have those rights. You are your child's advocate. A sqeeky wheel gets oiled. Best of Luck, I know it is very hard, but when it comes to your kids if you have to, you have to go in with both arms swinging (Not literaly, I just mean you have to give it everything you have.)

How old is the outside testing that was performed? When was the testing performed by the school in which she was found inelligible for special education?

I would also like to invite you to join and post that the "Learning and Attention Difficulties" Group here at Great Schools: community.greatschools.net/groups/11554

There you will find parents who have shared experiences and can provide you with additional resources.
