When I came down here back in 1990 Tarrant Middle School was a really good school, all the things that are going on now at that school was not going on when I started at that school. But now I have an 11 year old son at that school, and he didn't have any problems up until he started the 5th grade.  The Elementary School is wonderful, but the middle school is terrible, I would not recommend it to anyone.  It's like no one cares about what's going on, and I am sick of it.  My son has been picked on since day one, and everytime he tells someone, they say that they will do something and they never will.  My son will not be attending this school system next year, even if it means home schooling, because i don't want him at that school anymore.

Have you considered going over the principal and going to the school board? You really need to do this. Have you started logging all of the incidents? This is really bad for your son to go through, this is a form of abuse and is not mentally healthy for your son. My daughter went through this for 3 years from one girl and finally she moved to another school but there is still one that does it. It is not near as bad now that I stepped in and said something to the child and her parents. I hope that you get some relief from this. It is a very bad situation to have to endure for you and your son. There is a no bulling rule but they do not enforce it in most schools. But you will have to take further steps to safeguard your child and that means you will have to step on some toes. Also if the media gets involved that helps alot too! Good luck!!!!

I'm also new to Orlando Orange County, Fl. I'm worried since I come From RI the smallest state and also from the smallest city, this will be a big change for my 12 yr old. Do you know anything about Westridge Middle School?
