Letting the kids plan their day with a few fun things they want to do and few other developmental activities you want them to do is a great way to spend the summer holidays. Plan the schedule in such a way that they play when they are a bit drowsy and bored. Let them read books or watch T.V on getting tired after all the running. Lengthy art projects can be done at home to avoid the hot sun during the afternoon. Kids like to create and make mess in the garage or backyard. Playing board games as a family after dinner is a great way to connect with the kids. An evening walk with my kids is the time I get to chat a lot and understand their needs better. We do chores together with lenghty directions too as summer vacation provides us with ample time.
