Keeping my children socially active, we all decided one summer to participate at the neighborhood community college dealing with "beginner's computers" specifically aimed at elementary children.  We learned what other activities they had, and painting became another major interest for one of my sons at a later time. Meanwhile, vacation Bible School became available with their grandparents overseeing them at the church. They enjoyed singing, study classes, end of the week picnic, and most of all time with their beloved grandparents.  Memories that will stay with them. Finishing the summer off with the remaining time, we signed up for Red Cross swimming classes at our local pool where we met new friends and loaded up the car with their childhood friends from our neighborhood. I was overseeing them for this activity and drove them daily remaining there until the end of the class day for many years.  We all headed for Dairy Queen and I remember buying cones with jimmies.
