Hi Everyone

I am new to the GreatSchools Parent Community. What a wonderful organization and site to find. I am a retired science teacher who is interested in working with parents in building a green school community while addressing our climate changing issues. Our program SEED can be found at www.savingeartheveryday.com.I would greatly appreciate comments and thougths on  the SEED program. If you would like to join this experiment into new frontiers  of education, parent involvement, fundraising ahd spirit raising - the invitation is open.  Building the SEED program has been a wonderful opportunity toengage the problem learning skills I developed after teaching science for 38 years in the NYC Public Schools I am happy to report that my corner bagel shop thougth it was a great idea and wanted to be first sponsor.We need more firsts. I am thrilled to have found such a group to engage in conversation. I am very passionate about environmental edcuation and would be happy to help you answer any questions or share resources.  I am looking forward to meeting some very good friends through this Great Schools Network.
