Are you looking for your school calendar or the dates of school vacations? Since these dates are different for every school the best way to find the correct information is to contact your school directly.

Some schools post their calendar on their school website. GreatSchools tries to list the actual school websites of as many schools as possible, so you can check your school's listing on our site to see if we have a link. If we do have a link it will be listed on the "School Overview" tab just underneath the school's address and phone number. You can use our Research and Compare page to find your school. At the very least we should have the school's phone number listed. You can call and ask for the dates of the next vacation or ask the school secretary how you can access the calendar online or if they can send you one in the mail.

Re: Looking for your school calendar?
With all the recent "when does school start" questions, I thought it would be helpful to bump this advice back up.

Re: Looking for your school calendar?
with my job i need several schools' calendars. it gets difficult when some schools and districts don't have websites, and some don't open until a week or two prior to first day.

our school district finally moved into the 21st century and posted the calendar online - thankfully. this way i can plan conferences around the kids' vacations.

Re: Looking for your school calendar?
Even better -- school calendars are set years in advance by the districts. If your district isn't so kind as to post several years of calendars on the Internet -- call them and ask them to mail them to you.

Keep in mind that these "district" calendars won't include helpful information such as back-school-nighs and Open Houses but they will help you plan your vacations and family time.

super1momof4 -
does the district have a calendar online? you may have to dig for it. actually, just google the school or district. once you hit the site, there should be a 'calendar' link somewhere on the page. i know that isn't real helpful, but its a start. or do what SoCalGal suggested - call the schools directly.

Time to bump this thread up. GreatSchools Parent Community is not affiliated with any specific school or district, so the best bet for calendars, school start dates, or other school-specific questions is to contact the school directly. And if a poster is having difficulty finding a school's phone number or website, please let us know and we'll do our best to help find it!
