I was telling my son's teacher how awful it is to do homework with him. He cries, does not want to do it (even though it takes maybe 10 minutes), he seems tired etc. She gave me the best advise. She said to have him do a couple of minutes, run around the house a couple of times, come back and either finish it or do a bit more and if need be run around the house again. It really, really works - try it!
